Before we start this course, we will first look at what is covered during the training, the course is divided into categories and within each category, you will find several videos. You can pause and watch again any of the videos on the course. We update our courses regularly and you will be able to see any replacements and also any new videos as they are released. This may be an online course. If you have any questions during the course, you can contact us by phone, email, or use our online chat facility on any of our websites. You will work through the course videos in order. And now we will give you an overview of what's contained in the course. In the first section, we will have an introduction to what dementia is, you will then go on to talk about different types of dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia and the diagnosis and reporting for the different types, we will also be touching about the risk factors affecting the chance of developing dementia, looking after someone with dementia is also a category. It will cover things like living with dementia, things that help the carer, doctors, or medications and ID tags and bracelets.

In the discussing dementia category, we will go over communication with dementia, dementia with the seasons, dignity and respect, making a memory box. The regulations of dementia are also included, such as the Human Rights Act, discrimination, abuse and Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act. Finally, in the last category, the course mentions where to get more help and support.
